Pelvic Pain
If you’re struggling with pelvic pain, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to live with it. We take the time to understand what’s going on in your body and create a plan that helps you find real relief, so you can get back to doing the things you love.

Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain can feel overwhelming, but with a comprehensive approach, we’ll work together to reduce your discomfort and strengthen the muscles that support your core. Whether it’s from surgery, injury, or another cause, we’re here to help you feel better.

Low Back Pain
Low back pain can make even simple tasks feel tough, especially when it’s connected to pelvic issues. With Lesley’s dual expertise, we’ll address the root cause of your pain, helping you get back to doing what you love!

Sexual Pain and Dysfunction
We understand that sexual pain and dysfunction can be difficult to talk about. You’ll find a safe, confidential, and supportive space here where we can work on solutions together, helping you regain a healthy, fulfilling sex life.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Care
Pregnancy and the postpartum period bring big changes to your body. We’re here to support you through every stage, from managing pain during pregnancy to helping you regain strength following delivery (natural or C Section). We have the time, space, equipment, and expertise to get “your” body and life back after childbirth.
SI Joint and Hip Pain
SI joint and hip pain are particularly common in women, especially during and after pregnancy. Research shows that up to 30% of women experience SI joint pain during pregnancy due to hormonal changes and increased pelvic mobility. Women are also more prone to hip pain, with conditions like hip osteoarthritis and labral tears being more prevalent due to anatomical differences and the physical demands of pregnancy and childbirth.

Diastasis Recti
Diastasis recti can be a frustrating part of the postpartum journey, but it doesn’t have to be permanent. We’ll guide you through exercises and treatments designed to bring your abdominal muscles back together, helping you feel strong and supported from the inside out.

Post-Hysterectomy Care
Recovering from a hysterectomy is an emotional and physical journey, and we’re here to walk it with you. Lesley’s compassionate care will help you regain strength, mobility, and stamina to move forward with confidence.

Urinary and Fecal Incontinence
Incontinence is a common issue among postpartum women, with up to 50% experiencing urinary incontinence after childbirth. However, while it's common, it is not normal and should not be accepted as an inevitable part of motherhood. With the right treatment and pelvic floor therapy, many women can fully regain control and significantly improve their quality of life.

Bowel/Bladder Disorders
We’re experienced in treating a range of bowel and bladder issues, including but not limited to the following:
-
Interstitial Cystitis
-
Constipation
-
Urinary Urgency/Frequency

Lesley Tedesco
DPT, OCS
Co-Founder/President of Athletix PT
Lesley is a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University, Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and Athletic Trainer at the University of Florida. She has completed extensive training in pelvic health through the Herman and Wallace Institute, Trigger Point Dry Needling, including the pelvic floor musculature, myofascial release, and postural re-education through the Postural Restoration Institute.

Lesley’s passion for physical therapy began during high school sports when she had her first of 4 knee surgeries, including 2 ACL reconstructions. Although playing nearly every sport at some time, basketball was always her favorite! Lesley recognizes the importance of a physical therapist on the mental and emotional state of an athlete following an injury, as much as the physical recovery. Her interest in women’s health was sparked years later by her own post-partum recovery following the delivery of her two, beautiful daughters.
Lesley employs a comprehensive, patient-specific treatment approach with a strong emphasis on manual therapy techniques, including myofascial release and soft tissue mobilization. Although skilled in treating orthopedic injuries across all age groups, she specializes in spinal disorders. In her women's health practice, Lesley uses a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, biofeedback, corrective exercises, and thorough education to address conditions such as urinary and fecal incontinence, prolapse, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, bladder and bowel disorders, and constipation.
